I have a question

You are a 737-800 NG airline pilot. And just before your departure 1 of the nacelle/wing fairings came off. There is no engineer around. And your boss is pushing you to departure. Would you go.

And is this Safe and approved.

Thanks for your reply

Look in the CDL to see if it's allowed to be missing, if so then get an Engineer to raise a DD in the tech log, unless you are authorised to do so if no maintenance action is reqd.

Commercial pressure from an idiotic boss is no reason to fly illegally, he will deny all culpability when surveying the hole in the ground you are now in.

Yup, look into the CDL first. For the 744, there is a fuel penalty for the entire mission and the affected area should be covered with speed tape. Believe should be the same for B738s.

Always make sure you go according to the book. People's lives are in your hands, not in your boss's hands.:) All your boss cares about is $$$$$:ugh:
