Just heard on the news that United made an emergency landing in Iceland following cockpit smoke.
All passengers are safe.
Anyone got the details?

A colleague of mine was on this flight and has reported that there were severe electrical problems and apparently a fire "underneath" the cockpit. The passengers were informed that an emergency landing was to take place, and half an hour later they landed on Iceland. The slides were deployed.

The slides were not deployed.
