It may not be as precise as you need (then engineer is required) but as a rough approximation I use MEL numbers.

Search for ENG GEN INOP or similare where APU needs to be running, due to extra burn caused, some figures should be available there.

Thank FD!
I found it in the operational part of the MEL:

APU FUEL consumption with APU GEN ON (KG/H)

GRD
130

FL200
65

FL300
51

thanks!!

Quoted FCOM 2.05.10 P2

APU FUEL

During ground operations, APU fuel consumption is about 130KG/H
(Packs ON, 90 kVA on APU GEN)

Off the topic a little...

Does anyone know what a "Start Cycle" for the APU would cost in terms or maintenance, wear/tear, etc?

Just curious

We were told about US$20, based on $180,000ish for an overhaul, which is largely cycle driven.

Am I understanding correctly.... 9000 cycles between overhauls?

Caution is required when quoting APU maintenance costs. Maintenance costs are very dependent on the particular lease/purchase agreement for the APU.

Many APU maintenance cost structures are not cycle dependent, only hour dependent. Further, the hour costing formula is usually a percentage function of airframe hours. This is because many airframes have poor or non-existent APU use tracking systems.

If you are trying to calculate actual APU operating costs, you need a great deal of detailed airline/aircraft specific information to be accurate.

The costs for one airline operating the same APU can be dramatically different than the same APU operated at another airline.
