I passed my skills test in August 2008. My PPL took me just under 11 months in total. It would have taken longer only I was out of work for a few months and had an unexpected payout from a deferred pension from a previous job. (I'm not quite of pensionable age!)

I have flown about 45 hours (most of it solo) post-PPL. Highlights include flying over the Needles on the Isle of Wight, and flying to the Orkney Islands (from Inverness). I did an advanced handling course in Inverness (including spinning training). I want to do my night rating but funds don't allow this at present.
