The first Armed Forces Day, 27 June 2009, is an opportunity for the nation to show its support for the men and women of our Armed Forces – past, present and future.

Across the country people are getting involved: communities are holding local events, businesses are showing their support through promotional offers, and to kick off proceedings, local authorities are holding flag-raising ceremonies at 1030 on 22 June.

On the day itself The Historic Chatham Dockyard opens its doors for a National Event, so the public can learn more about the Army, Navy and RAF and meet members of local units.

The 'Search Events' part the 'Map of Events' page is rubbish - either that or there are no events in Scotland or London.

Thanks,

I'll try again - although you appear to have missed Wick and Lossiemouth from Scotland! Hitting the 'view all events' seems to work better.

Good luck anyway!
