Hope you can take on British European on the Newcastle-Belfast route. They were charging 313gbp for poor offloaded Gill pax, and then even having the audacity to demand £3 for a drink!

Thats exploitation for you, hope they reap their due rewards.

Will they be taking on any Gill staff to work the routes? Would love to know.

Charlie32 is speaking total bollocks.

British European did in fact honour a large number of Gill tickets in the days following their demise, at a cost of many (possibly hundreds of) thousands of pounds. As you have obviously not been reading the papers for the last two weeks, allow me to point out that all airlines (including the low-cost carriers) are having major financial problems at the moment- to continue to give free travel is good way of going out of business.

That BE were operating the route (for free) within 90 mins or so of Gills demise is a fairly good response, IMHO.

Charlie32 - please stop blithering on about your 313GBP ticket. If it wasn't for British European there wouldn't be any NCL-BHD flights at all. How long do you expect BE to carry other airline's passengers for nothing? They're in the same situation as everybody else! Hope the GO flights work out, although I think an earlier departure from NCL would be better.
