Wondering if anyone has any comments on the "homemade" headset using a Bose QC2 and a "Uflymike"? Obviously a lot cheaper than the Bose X, and if reviews are to be believed, equally as good. Am awaiting delivery and hoping they live up to the hype!
Apologies if there's a more suitable forum for this!
(Will be using it in C150s and PA28s for the moment)

The UFLY Mike is a GREAT product. Mike is a retired Southwest Airlines Captain who invented a fantastic device that WORKS. Pilots from SWA and other US carriers use the device including myself, and now with the TSO'd product it is even better, not that it needed improvment.

Hope this helps...enjoy

The noise reduction of the QC2 isnt really effective enough for a piston aircraft like a C152.

Yes it did. The original version lost RX audio when the ANR battery ran out. Dangerous bit of kit if you ask me.

Apparently this is sorted in the TSO version.

pblind,

Have you used one?

IRRenewal,

Blaming the headset for running out of battery power is kind of like blaming the aircraft for running out of fuel, isn't it?

Just my opinion.
