Hi Guys
Is the Trident sim still around the Biggin Hill area?

I think it's dead. Last time I was darn sarf I called to see if I could have a go and Andy, the guy who owns it told me it was U/S. Something to do with the thrust levers, I think. That was about 5 years ago, mind.

What a bummer. I had a go in it many moons ago, it was a great laugh. Fancied another go.

Is this the guy with a long beard and a LARGE collection of sims ?

I went there last year and there were Trident , Bucaneer , F-4 Phantom , DC-9 sims in various states of repair , the guys workshop was like a mad scientists lab trying to repair and piece together all these old analogue sims , he was having problems tracking down some replacement parts when I was there

The eBay Trident 1C Sim is a home project I think - although I could be wrong - it looks like an authentic cockpit!

Trident flight simulator on eBay, also, Aircraft Aviation, Cars, Motorcycles Vehicles (end time 22-Jun-09 16:49:01 BST) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Trident-flight-simulator_W0QQitemZ120425709773QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CPV_Avi ation_SM?hash=item1c09ee80cd&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1683|240%3A1318|301%3A1 |293%3A1|294%3A50)

I think the old Trident Sim was 3-axis... and a genuine 3B simulator with all the associated bells and whistles..

Sad to hear of its demise though.

I'd heard it had fallen over (literally).

The Trident simulator that was on eBay is now based in North Yorkshire and is available for hire. If you want any more information please let me know. Regards Mark [email protected] The sim was built from HS Trident G-ARPE's cockpit and is fully working!

Unfortunately, it wouldn't. There have been deaths due to failed supports. The lesson to be learned is: Do strap in, even in the simulator.

The Trident sim referred to above was built by a good friend of mine. It has been sold (to the British Legion I think) but is available for enthusiasts.

If you want to be put in touch with the builder (who can give you all the details) please feel free to PM me.
