Mislaying her marbles during a very senior moment, a long time PPRuNer & Jetblast stalwart has signed up for a zip slide over the River Ayr on the 23rd of May.

The zip slide raises money for charity.
Action for Children (http://www.actionforchildren.org.uk/content.aspx?CategoryID=73) supports and speaks out for the most vulnerable children and young people.

Cleo is in dire need of some encouragement to actually do the zip slide (rather than  out & sign a check) so please have a look at the link and sponsor her.
You don´t have to give a lot, small amounts add up and it´s a quick and easy transaction.
... can´t let some some outfit called HBOS beat PPRuNers!

Click here to sponsor Cleo (http://www.justgiving.com/christinerichardson4%20)

...yes there´s a million worthwhile charities out there and you can´t support them all. But we´re talking a fellow ppruner here, a wonderfully kind and modest person who´s gonna do something that actually scares the cr@p out of her to help kiddies in need. Contributing a few £££$$$€€€ will make you feel ever so virtuous! ;)

I shall be cleo's "official photographer" :) Can't promise video, but stills guaranteed. :ok:

I'm getting her a Special VFR Clearance - clear of cloud & in sight of the surface - not sure what happens if she lands on the surface (apart from a big splash :p) - call to the Coastguard mebbe ? ;) or perhaps Rescue 177 could use it for exercise :E

Thank you all so much for your kind and generous support :\

My sweet children are dividing my possessions as we speak! I hope to disappoint them for a while longer.

Piccies will be posted on Sat afternoon if ETC has stopped laughing by then :p

Copied from JetBlast.

Cleo is ex Glasgow and Prestwick airfield ATC by trade, and is now working for a handling company/FBO at Prestwick.

If anyone wishes to donate, no matter how small the amount, please follow the links. UK taxpayers can also get Gift Aid included, which means that Robber Broon and the expense claiming MPs also have to make a contribution from Government coffers (if you ignore the fact that the taxpayer pays for it all in the first place :{ ).

I think it is what is called a Flying Fox in the Land of the Long White Cloud. :ok:

BaldEd, huh, you gave it to slackie..
Those Kiwi junkies should know their 'adrenaline inducing stuff'.

Maybe the 'zip line' would be more appropriate phrase.
I did one too. Two years ago when my hospitality company did some fundraising for Macmillan cancer support.

Zipline was more fun than bungee jump. I'm into flying, not just falling like a stone. I guess that's why I chose paragliding over skydiving when younger. I like to have some material around me when flying these days.
I'd post a picture, but the bouncer cum photo specialist still owes me the pics of me dishing up Superman moves on the way across.

Have fun.

MartinCh...yip quite familiar with extreme stuff, just don't think that a flyingfox/zip slide is that extreme!!:zzz:

But good on her for the effort and fundraising!!

Well done Chris - You Nutter!!
You wouldn't get me doing "Stupid Stuff" now would you??!!
I'm very happy to donate part of my inheritance to such a good cause and such a Fab lady!!
Good luck and remember, just keep your eyes tight shut until all the noises stop........................That's what I tell the present Lady Cooke, and it seems to work!
Lots of love Darling, well done!

Its amazing who reads PPRuNe!!!

Many many thanks to the kindness of lots of ppruners, family and friends for raising the total sum sponsored to over £500

If anyone is in the general area with nothing else to do on a Bank Holiday Saturday ETD from the college roof is 1145

Rescue 177 and the copper chopper may be in attendance.

I have on good authority that PS Waverley has been moved to the safety of a dry dock but maybe a nice wee C172 floatplane will come along

I have to report that the big splash did not take place and Rescue 177's services were not required!

I DID IT!!
without falling off :E

Thank you so very much for all your kind messages of support and your generous donations. Action for Children is now over £600 better off and a lot of that was because you, my fellow inmates, were very generous.

ETC will post the evidence once he has stopped laughing :ok:
