Gents,

Is the A380 rating worth having re future job prospects? It's got a very limited user base and I really can't see anyone hiring a DEC onto it (EK excluded of course).

I'd appreciate your thoughts

cheers

Completely useless to you. Each of the airlines operating A380s has an established seniority system with a queue of the most senior Captains wanting to go on it. There would be a ruckus!

How about the space shuttle rating.
Check job openings at NASA...
Pprune questions are getting ridiculous.

So, how many airlines are operating the A380 right now? .... count the fingers you have on both your hands....? ... sad to say you have more fingers than the current operators of the A380 :E

And, quite likely to stay that way, indefinitely.

I dunno about that:
I have some logs that need cutting. One foul move with the chainsaw and he could be in with a chance!

Probably safer just to go with the A350 to be honest, then you can upgrade to the A380 later.

It's a bit difficult to get a rating on a paper airplane...

On a more serious note - do you think a Concorde rating would be worth paying for?

Now that's what I have in mind. The sim at Brooklands is now up and running again so that's easy enough. Now all I need is the 6 circuits in an airframe??
It's just a big Hawker anyway!
