La question qui se pose est de savoir si ces fissures ont été provoquées par le ”hard landing” ou si elles étaient déjà présentes sur l'appareil .

My translation of this sentence would be :

What needs to be determined is whether these cracks were caused by the "hard landing" in question or if they were already present on the plane.

I didn't see anything in CRASH-AERIEN about the location of the wrinkles/cracks ....... feel free to correct my English translation ...... and the fuselage logo (see picture in the article) does not appear on the 767 that also accompanies it.http://static.pprune.org/images/smilies/smile.gif

I think that pics of the 767 was more for illustration purposes.

Also the titles are in Arabic (or similar) on the port side and in English on the SB side.

It happened before on LAB 767-300 in Santa Cruz.

Arabic port, English SB ......... sort of like the paint job on Concorde when it was operated in/out of DFW by BN and BA in the late 70s !!! :O

You explain why I couldn't deduce where the wrinkles would be!

At least it wasn't as bad as an Eastern Airlines DC 9 I saw in either TLH or PNS in Florida in the 80s that just about broke in half after a hard landing. I don't recall the cicumstances but it was one heck of a buckle in the fusalage.

The problem with the Belair problem was a faulty oleo, rather than a hard landing; parts being flown to PUJ (aircraft presumably acft left by now?)

Incident: Belair B763 at Punta Cana on Apr 23rd 2009, gear oleo problem (http://avherald.com/h?article=418bbf7e&opt=0)

RAM was a hard landing; pax apparently reported this on arrival at gate and inspection carried out; return flight canx. Acft still grounded at JFK.

Parked at Hangar 19,

Boeing has already sent a team for the repairs. Crack is big enough for rain water to have gone into the cabin. Very similar to N373AA at LHR in '99.

Have to wonder if it was a Canarsie VOR 13L approach?

Watched an A340 roll out at about 300' yesterday. :ugh:

When it's clear and a million perhaps you guys could get your SOP police to realize it's a visual approach, and much easier flown if you stay higher and pick up the runway farther out, vs. fully configuring and driving along at 800'(or sometimes 600', or 400'!).

Foreign carrier pilot said the number one runway in their system for hard landings is JFK Rwy 13L. It's amusing to watch but it's not surprising that it's the number one hard landing runway for this carrier.
