I am from Austria (Central Europe) and I want take flighing lessons in Australia.
My uncle is living next to the Forestdale Park 10 Nm south of Archerfield.
I have allrady a sailplane rating with approximately 150 flight hour.
The next step would be the PPL possibly with IFR.

What flight school can you recommend?
I think about:
1) Royal Queenland Aero Club
2) AV8 Brisbane
3) Sunland Aviation
4) Flight training Australia

Do you have any other ideas?

Thanks for helping!!
greets
Fritz

You might want to consider going to Redcliffe or Caboolture also. Much cheaper than the outrageously expensive Archerfield, although further away from where you're staying. I only have experience of one school in Queensland so cannot give you a comparison (saying "my school is the best" without experiencing the others wouldn't help you much anyway).

This has been covered extensively in the Dunnunda & Godzone section on Prrune, do a search on Brisbane and you should get some good results. You could take a look at Redcliffe Aero Club (Redcliffe obviously) and the Aero Dynamic Flight Academy at Caboolture.

Good luck, and all the best with it. Where ever you choose, you'll have a great time. Flying in South-East Queensland is stunning.
