View Full Version : Mayday on Scottish Info (119.875) today

Was in the Stirling area earlier this afternoon as a passenger listening on 119.875 and heard a Mayday in progress; didn't catch the full reg., aircraft type or what was wrong but FE were the last two letters in the reg and last we heard they were heading for Cumbernauld.

Believe it was a Cherokee 140 or something similar. Rough running engine. As far as I am aware it made it safely to Cumbernauld.

Captain Smithy....just seen your post....I just posted a thread with regard this incident.......at the end of the day all ended happy.........cracked pot....rough running engine landed safely at EGPG with very little oil left in the engine.............please please call Mayday sooner than later it will help grab my attention on an already busy frequency.
