767 Winglets

I was at Vienna airport yesterday and saw an Austrian Airlines 767 with enormous winglets. I have seen the 757 mods at AA but never on the 767 and never anything quite that big and frankly ugly ;)

Does the performance improvement match the size of the winglets ?

What are the benefits of this mod ?

AA were the first, followed by Austrian and Delta, gives an increase in range, due to a lower fuel burn.:ok:
