If Oriental is eastern, and occidental is western, what is to North and South?

Would you like boreal or borealis for Northern hemisphere...
And austral or australis, for the Southern hemisphere.

This sounds familiar, isn't it on another recent thread?
Boreal, adjective describing to the NORTH (e.g. Aurora Borealis)
Austral, adjective describing to the SOUTH (e.g. Australia).

Same thing happens to me, frequently. A consequence of my typing speed.
I am somewhat slow on this keyboard, managing it with 2 fingers.
And using the nose for space bar.

Actually, I note that we were only 18 minutes apart in posting, considering your superior typing speed, that's not surprising, two fingers for me only, if my nose is any closer than 2 feet from the key-board it becomes a blur! :uhoh:
Retired you may be, but nice to see that you follow the "airman's obligation" wherein we should ensure that the next pilot generation is better than the last - All of his/her own abilities PLUS the cumulative wisdom of the generations who have gone before!:ok:
