Apparently a Cargolux B747-400F went into the grass with its nose wheels during taxi. Airport of Maatricht - Aachen has been closed until further notice.

There is no further information about the cause or how long it will take until they reopen the airport.

It is at the start of 03, but heading something like 060, pointing towards the village of Ulestraten with the nose wheel in the soft grass.

L1 Nieuws reports that it happened whilst turning at the end of ther runway. Nose wheel is 10 meters off the tarmac. Before the aircraft can be moved the cargo of flowers will have to be unloaded.

The airport was busier than normal bcause of the Tefaf fine-arts sales in maastricht generating a lot of Bizjet movements

Nothing dramatic. Landed on 21. Somehow miscalculated during the 180 turn at the 03 end.

Edit: Lon beat me to it. First time I've seen him react so fast!!!
