Ladies and Gents I have a question for you. Can an ATPL check be done on the right seat of an executive Jet simulator.

Well certainly on this side of the Pond it can be but I would not like to comment on the latest FAA rules (I assume you are talking about an FAA licence)?

Provided that - from the RH seat - you have access to ALL CONTROLS, such as steering, I do not see why not. At least under FAR 91. If you do that check under FAR 121 or 135, the GOM of the company might require you to perform some maneuvers from the LH seat as well, in case the GOM limits the designated PIC to occupy the LH seat, as a policy.

When I did a 707, 727 and DC8 type ratings, under FAR 121, the streering tiller was only installed on the LH side, so the LH seat occupancy was required, yet I had to demonstrate an ILS approach from the RH seat, as well. even though I had flown and completed the entire type rating check ride on the LH seat. And in the 747, it did not matter, tiller installed on both sides.

Ask the FAA Inspector or Designee, to get his point of view.
