dear all,

I have a 737 sim this week and am having a brain fart. If anyone can check and where necessary correct these ballpark assumptions i'd be very grateful! (it will probably be a newer rather than older series B737 but not sure which now):

40% for initial spool up?
86% for takeoff, pitch for 15 deg NUP to maintain V2 +15kts?
82% for acceleration segment, pitch for 1000'/min, appx 10 deg NUP?
58% for level flying at 220-230kts?
70% for continued climb after acceleration, pitch for apeed appx 6 deg NUP?
Idle thrust to descend from altitude while clean?
65% when flap 5 goes out and flying level?
54% when flap 30 goes out, pitch for 700'/min, appx 2 deg NUP?

Also, does the 737 have an auto callout for alt like the Airbus? If so, when would you flare (40', 30' etc) and what flare pitch is best?

Ta!

Flying 737-300, figures seem reasonabe, but completely dependant on weight Have a look at b737.org.uk for helpful hints. The pitch settings are just as important as the power settings. 210 knots = 6 degrees nu and 60%. flap 30 2.5 degrees nose up 50-55 ish percent. flap 40 0 degrees nose up and 60 ish percent. Add 15 percent for single engine and another 5 percent for single engine in the turn

If you have them, follow the fd's religiously. Hardest thing to learn during my TR, but now i don't understand how i ever flew without them.

standard 737 calls are

2500
1000
500
100
50
40
30
20
10

start the flare at 30 ish feet
