Oh my....

but why is the CX staff filming?

6th Feb 2009, 08:40
You cannot be asking a serious question there, GEH..... are you.

How about covering one's six (or covering all the bases)?

When the pax is offloaded at the gate and litigation ensues, having it all on film will be vital.

By the way.... what was she on about?

Impressively bad language - not offloaded, but very late to the boarding gate and shut out from the looks of it.

I don't understand much Chinese but I think she is saying "a contract is a contract, stick to the contract". She says it over and over again hoping to change reality.

SFO here she don't come. I hope they denied her boarding yesterday as well and refunded the ticket.

I particularly liked the opening spray...'the plane has gone':}

Well...my Cantonese is not perfect but after 25 years of absorption and a bit of study....there certainly are a lot of F words in addition to the contract -of-carriage references in that lot...I bet the husband and father-in-law or father regret they didn't leave her in the duty free with a 'See you on board Honey-Pie' :uhoh:

And we complain about the ****e that comes out of Fort Fumble.:}

Spare a moment and the odd thank you for the ground staff...and the cabin staff that put up with this on a daily basis.

I think it's a load of bollocks. You don't see ONE SINGLE CX staff member at all anywhere. Even if it was real I doubt it was CX.

Rubbish.

If it actually was a CX flight, I hope they've banned her for life from our airline. I don't want the ground staff or cabin crew copping that type of abuse in connection with any flight where I'm the captain.

We need a video edit in english underneath.

At first she says "What you mean my husband now wait 20 years for command and no retire at 55"

Then she says "Is CX872 Captain go RA65? pocket winnings, leave hundreds of F/Os in poverty"

Followed by "I hope he no put his back out dragging that big pot of RA65 gold"

And finishes with "I should dump my loser F/O and marry RA65 man instead, he smart, change contract"

But my cantonese isn't the best....................

Some translation by local colleagues.

Apparently she was shopping and expected the 2 stooges, the ones skulking embarassed as  in the background, to get onboard the a/c. Because she believed if they were already on-board, that the flight would be 'held', while she bought her obviously very important shopping.....

A translation from the first bit is the best - because she can see the plane outside the window and she think's like the proverbial KMB bus, that the crew just reopen the door, she swipes the octopus reader with her fake LV handbag and everything proceeds as normal!!

Why is it that during/after this disgraceful behaviour by this Princess that at least four security guards walk away?
I guess they are too busy checking for 110ml of hair gel.

seems they did the best thing as the area was quiet and she was not creating any problems for the travelling public or endangering anyone or anything....
but with an outburst like that I bet they kept a close eye on her on the subsequent flight...
VOLATILE is the word that springs to mind ...
Anger Management Courses might be helpful.
I also suspect she might have been a high value CX passenger
Any lesser mortal and I suspect the police would have been summoned to have her rapidly removed from the area......

Airlines sorry for hissy fit clip

March 5, 2009 - 3:14PM

Cathay Pacific says it has apologised to a passenger whose hysterical tantrum after missing a flight from Hong Kong has clocked close to five million hits on YouTube.

Cathay said on Thursday it had identified the member of its staff who took a mobile telephone video of the woman passenger on February 4.

The video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOeVqYwqLzM) found its way to YouTube and has since become one of the site's most popular clips ever. It has been featured in news reports and TV shows across the world.

The three-minute video starts with the screaming woman running towards the departure gate and bouncing off a female security guard at the Hong Kong airport.

She then starts banging a desk before collapsing to the floor and rolling around, while maintaining a high-pitched wail.

"We have conveyed the findings of our inquiry to the passenger concerned, and her family, and have issued an apology for the inconvenience and embarrassment she may have suffered as a result," a Cathay spokeswoman said.

She said the person who posted the video on YouTube was not a member of staff and that the employee who had recorded the incident had been disciplined.

The airline offered the passenger seat upgrades and air miles, and she had not sought compensation from Cathay, the spokeswoman said.

AFPWake up Cathay!! What message are you sending here.. Carry on like a pork chop & we will reward you.

Hey everyone... if you want a Business upgrade next time you fly Cathay you know what to do!!!

5th Mar 2009, 15:20
No problem, I know what I"ll do to get a first class upgrade next time. Cathay, I love you! That's service from the heart, eh? No other airlines can beat you on this one!:ok:

6th Mar 2009, 01:17
Unbelievable! Here we have an airline that puts immense pressure on it's groundstaff and flight crew alike in getting flights away on time, and this happens???

Don't you notice the panicked look on traffic staff's faces when you tell them to delay boarding or that there will be a delay to departure? Mind you, when you also tell them that the delay is not going to be attributed to them, you'll also notice the huge look of relief too!

What sort of message does this send to the people on the coalface? Next time I get pulled up to the 3rd floor to explain a delay, I'll just throw a tantrum in front of the CP and all will be ok.......

Please be at the boarding gate 20 minutes prior to departure or you may not be accepted for travel..... Unless of course you are a complete moron and can't read, in this case , you will be entitled to an upgrade to First or Business class................

If you are a member of staff and one of these fuc*wits turns up late, you will be downgraded.

Funny how many airlines deny acceptance for the flight because passenger is 5 minutes late at the check in while the airline knows already that there will be a flight delay. Flight eventually departs hours late due to unspecified “technical reasons”.
“Take and take” not “Take and give” seems to be the way.

the SHark Fin Soup youtube was actually staged. The purpose of the clip as you already saw is the awareness of the shark extinction.
