Folks, a little while ago, one of the U.K. entities fighting for light aircraft users better interests had for the asking a pamphlet with details on how to oppose a wind farm application. Can anyone point me to them /it, please?
Thanks.

These will help......

Thanks for the info. Much obliged,

I love the hypocrisy of someone who flies a light aeroplane for fun complaining about the construction of "low carbon" power stations!

Priceless.

Maybe I am biting too hard but the idea that wind power is low carbon [whatever that means] is utter rubbish. Each wind turbine is heavily subsidised by the taxpayer and is about the most inefficient way of generating power. It has to be backed by a switchable source [gas turbine/hydro/oil/coal/nuclear before one watt of electricity is produced. All the concrete/haulage of massive machinery/construction costs are huge contributers to the Greenie held belief of "Carbon Footprint" production. Recently the BWEA admitted their figures for power output had to be halved in the light of actual results!

Anyway Mankind adds barely 3% CO2 to Mother Nature's 97% so what effect will using wind power make to anything?

Anyway M you should stop breathing as 4% of your exhaled breath is CO2, yours and 6.5 billion other breathers.

Perhaps the issue is the extra 3 billion folk in the last 30 years...or if you are a teenager by the time you die another 20 billion CO2 exhalers on the planet.

NZ.

PM me. I have some useful info on this subject which I utilised when making my response to a proposed 15 turbine wind farm, 1km from my strip.

Why only argue the case against Wind Turbines with CO2 emissions? Oil, gas and coal will not last for ever! Afterburners on!!

moggiee,
if you can follow this link (hope it works, not to a sales pitch, Mods.) you might see that wind turbines are not really priceless at all. Quite the reverse.
