According to a press release (http://www.diamond-air.at/news_detail+M5d983934530.html) from Diamond, EASA have issued a Type Certificate (http://www.easa.europa.eu/ws_prod/c/doc/Design_Appro/Engines/EASA.E.200%20TCDS.pdf) for their Austro diesel engine, and they are now installing it on new DA42s - which must be good news for them.
Given that Exxon are refusing (http://www.aero-news.net/news/genav.cfm?ContentBlockID=A38500DF-9B02-49DB-8160-1C429ACBA141&Dynamic=1) to refuel DA42s in the USA, I wonder what will be the effect of this note in the TC:
"The E4 engine is approved for operation with jet fuels. A minimum cetane number of 37 (determined according EN ISO 5165/ASTM D613) is recommended."
Is that information readily available, when you buy Jet A?
