ATR Cat 2 minimums?

Hi,

I need to know what is the ATR72-200 cat 2 RVR minimum according to JAR/EASA.
Is it 300m like for other a/c operating under JAA/EASA or is it 350m (since there is no auto-throttle).

300 m - A/T not required to be certified for Cat II ops. Cat IIIa needs to be fitted for certification, but does not need to be operational for approach (see MEL).

Latetonite, you are absolutely right. However I did not ask you what was my company minima, but what would be lowest possible for aircraft type.

On ATR we used to have 350m min RVR before implementing JAR and 300 afterwards, so reduction to 300m is seemingly not connected to having or not having autothrottle.

Also with HGS (haven't seen them on ATRs yet, though) you can reduce your minima to CAT IIIa - 50RA/200RVR without autothrotle and autoland.

Oh yes - HGS does allow manual Cat IIIa approaches. I stand corrected :O

Same thing here. Changed from ICAO to JAR but got stucked with 350m for ATR cat 2 rvr. Time to revisit local CAA.
