Hi all,

B738 QRH for loss of system B states in the landing checks to set autobrakes to OFF. Are the autobrakes inop with a loss of system B? The reason I ask is that it states the inop systems at the beginning of the checklist but it doesn't state that the autobrakes are inop, even though the autobrakes are powered by system B.

Thanks.

Autobrakes are unavailable with a loss of system B (my systems manual confirms this). My QRH lists them as inoperative.

Could it be a loss of system B(ifocal)? :)

Autobrake works only with normal brakes (on hys sys B); in this case you have only alternate brakes available (on hyd sys A) and the system is unusable/inoperative.

I believe the QRH tells you to set the autobrakes to OFF so there is no mistaken assumption that you will have autobrakes with the loss of SYS B.

Basically that you are both positively aware that the autobrakes are OFF!

Happy to be corrected :O

Hope that makes sense...I have had a few drinks :ok:

Thanks for the replies. Yeah it makes perfect sence. Just don't understand why it isn't listed in the inop items in my QRH which would make it alot clearer.

Thanks again.
