Hi folks,

does anybody knows why, at any point, the SAT shown on the FMGC REPORT page at any point is always 4-5 deg. C higher than the one at the bottom of the system display?

thanks

As far as I remember the temp/wind/FOB datas reported on REPORT page show the figures recorded at last sequenced wpt, not the current ones.
It's detailed on FCOM 4.03, Pilot Interface.

REPORT page crossing Atlantic may display the 4-5 deg difference against sys display, in Europe it shoundn't.

Ok, but the point is that at any sequence wpt there's a 4-5 deg difference.

Any reason why over atlantic yes and europe no?and usa and asia? thicker air?:)

Noted difference only after hundreds miles from sequenced wpt, but not so great as you stated.
That's the reason I never noticed it cruising in airspace plenty of wpts such as Europe... and part of Asia and US as well.

I'll check it again at first occasion.

I had the occasion to verify my statement, and I do confirm.
Highest gap between REPORT page and EW/D SAT has been 3 degrees after 550 nm from the sequenced wpt and agree with the next one, 50 nm ahead. On other long legs max 1 degrees difference, inland NO difference.

still have 3/4 deg difference over immediately sequenced waypoint over atlantic...not inland...:{
