Hi folks!

Can anyone recommend a good flight school in Canada for international students? Location does not matter and smaller schools would be preferred!

I have seen Centennial Flight Center and Winnipeg aviation - no idea about the rates. Any info would be much appreciated!

Cheers

PM sent.

I also spoke to Harv's Air. They gave me a quote of 35K without the instructors rating. Also that quote was for a 200 hours, with about 25 hours Multi engine time.

anyone know any better deals?

Cheers

I have heard much good about Moncton Flight College and they are fast replying, when emailing them. Some schools I never heard from!

They have an Integrated Airline Transport Pilot Program for 44.600 CAD giving you a frozen ATPL with at least 195.7 hours (Around 25 hours on multi.)
This price is on their DA-20 and you can get it a bit cheaper if you select the C172.

There are a variety of good ol Canuk schools here some cheaper than others and some have different focuses. Saving money is a good consideration but so is the quality of your training as well as the network set up around the school to give you a nudge into the work force or give you a job as an intructor if thats the path you choose. :ok:

Im not sure what your career goals are as well as the path you hope to take. The schools above mentioned dont raise any warning flags from guys I know who have used them. I would add Pro IFR as well. even though the school is larger it has a wealth of senior resources as well as future connections. Boundry bay gives you a solid year round experience in some challenging weather and a busy envronment. I did not train there but I have visited. The cities that surround the flight training schools are another thought if you are from outa country. Cost of living freezind cold etc.....

Well if you you have more specific questions fire away or pm me I would be glad to help or can turn you on to someone to answer further questions.

Best of luck

I would advise you to avoid Moncton Flight College for the moment. They are too busy, too many students, not enough planes and instructors, I did 22 hours in 4 month there, changed school and got my PPL in less than 2 month. It's a shame because their facilities, aircrafts, SOPs, instructors, groundschool are just fantastic! nothing to compare with my current school. I just wish they could train their students faster.

Coastal Pacific Aviation College Abbotsford BC Excellent facilities Sims etc. Abbotsford being an excellent training airport. Mix of Light aircraft to B-737 to Waterbombers of Comair the odd B-747 DC-10. Vancouver ATC for a taste of high density .
