www.clouds4pilots.f-snet.com (http://www.clouds4pilots.f-snet.com)

I've started a new website where people can email in their meteorological pictures either taken from the ground or the air. The idea is that it will form a usefull resource to student pilots learning how to receognise different types of cloud, and not just the obvious textbook examples.

Mail pictures to [email protected]

We'll see how it turns out!

Interesting site although I am pretty sure there is already an identical site knocking about like yours. :)

Europa - before you ask, the extra copy of this that you posted on "Professional Training" has been deleted.

One subject - one forum. Pick your favourite and post it there, nowhere else.

You chose wisely, by the way, I was just going to delete it as we don't normally allow links to other sites.

Having said all that, "Welcome to PPRuNe". I hope it works for you.

Sorry about the double post, I'm new to the forums.

Do you know the address of the similar site? I couldn't find it before.

You need to re-size the images - no point in having an image such as http://www.clouds4pilots.f-snet.com/images/interesting/competition2.jpg which is 1944px × 2592px but scaled/displayed to 833px × 1104px within the web page. Re-size it to the intended display size, use IrfanView (free download) if you need a simple picture utility.

Agree with airborne artist, the design is not really up to spec with technical issues like above. Not good form to load up your home page with large images either. Can you do thumbnails then links to larger images?

Not convinced that really is a CB in front of the sun either.
