I will be performing an angiogram next month just so my doctor can begin a benchmark on the condition of my heart due to my family's history of having heart issues.
Will this have an effect on my next canadian medical?

If the results are 'normal' then no worries. If they are abnormal, then you'd have to report them to TC, and take it from there.
In the few, brief, conversations I've had with the medical folks, they've always been really helpful, stating that 'they want to keep guys flying as long as possible.' A guy I used to work with was restricted to 2 crew ops, and 3 month medicals because of a funny heart..
So, if TC saw fit to ground you, it'd be for a good reason...
