More of a general question to everyone thinking of going to Namibia: Why Namibia and not Botswana?

@carrot123

I think people are considering Namibia because they seem to have lower hour requirements.

Namibia = TT300
Botswana = TT500

I'm planning to come down in October. Probably stay there from 1st October till end November. After I get some C210 time and my Multi in US in June.

How's the jobs looking currently and conversion/visa process?
I'm gonna apply with 360TT FAA CPL ASEL/MEL.

Any cheap places to stay? I dont mind pitching up a tent.

Misha4, tell your friend to google for the company Desert Air. Since she is Namibian, she probably speaks Afrikaans.

Hi everyone!

I'm stil studing for the ATPL, I'm obtaining my license in October (aprox.) and my idea is going to Africa to work as soon as I finish the ATPL course. Do you know if I need any previous experience or if they will ask me for having some hours of flight??

I would appreciate your reply!!

Hello,

Is anyone currently in or recently in Namibia who could share their experience there?
