ECI Lycoming cylinder AD

The FAA and EASA have just issued an AD requiring parallel valve ECI cylinders to be scrapped at 350 hours in service for one batch and checked for leaks from the barrel to head joint at 50 hour intervals with the cylinder being scrapped at engine TBO for another batch.

This is likely to effect a lot of aircraft in the UK.

affects me for one - had the head blow clean off one cylinder a month ago - now awaiting the same result for the other three !!! keeps you looking at suitable fields as you fly along !:ugh:

Thanks Stik - So far managed to get one from titan under warranty - just arguing about the other 3 now - but dont sell the ones you have cos may well be needing them !!
