I see from the latest BALPA technical brief that a Ryanair F/O was reportedly dismissed for gross misconduct following an incident where he declined to operate due to fatigue.
The individual quite correctly filed an Air Safety Report on the circumstances and was disciplined as a result.
Has this been reported on the forum already or does anyone have any more in-depth info ?

This is the first time I've heard of such in the international arena, but it's possible that it's a bleed-over from the American side.
Crew-fatigue isn't to be prostituted for personal convenience, but most importantly, it's not to be discounted for the sake of profits.

The FAA treatment of "profits first; safety optional" is getting worse. Still worse, everybody from the White House on down knows it & won't lift a finger. The U.S. media won't touch it, either.
If you look at the current "Changes to CAP371" thread on this site you will find more on this Ryanair F/O subject. The details are somewhat contrary to your own post, however, in that it seems the pilot was not dismissed.
