Sat at the holding point at LHR at about 3pm today when all departures were halted for 5 minutes due to unidentified traffic in the London control zone. Worse still, two aircraft on the approach were forced to go-around. Someone is in big trouble!

I was near LCY at around 3:00 pm yesterday, and noted several military rescue helicopters leaving London to the East over the Thames... could it be them??

I've got no idea regarding 939 action in this particular case.

But it is fair to say that is the usual course of events if an infringer causes actual disruption to the IFR traffic.
