Hi guys and Girls,
which is the better location to train for the PPL in the Summer, Greenwood, Nova Scotia or Campbell River on the Island?
Was also considering Gander but I hear the weather is a little touchy.

I just looked over the Greenwood operation whenI stopped in for gas with a Navajo at King County/ Waterville... it was really good we run and had an ILS just 10 miles south at the airbase and nobody using it... i would recomend it.

Campbell River is a big no-no. There's landing fees there. I don't know if it applies to flight schools based there, but I landed a flightschool (from the lowermainland) owned C172 there a couple months back and it costed me $6.
It's got a nice terminal though.

Are Greenwood and YBL your only choices? What about other locations on Vancouver Island, or YYF or YLW?

Greenwood generally has great summer weather, and the Forces Base south of it is ideal for IFR training. For what it's worth, since they are busy year round, you could easily work there after completing your instructor rating.
