Hi, i've just begun studying the ATPL syllabus prior to starting an integrated course. I've noticed that CRM is mentioned quite a bit on various sites and forums and I was wondering if it is down to company culture or could someone please suggest any books available with basic guidelines. Any info would be really appreciated, thanks.

The only bit of CRM you'll be learning for your ATP-theory is that taken from the Human Performance and Limitations book. It's not much, but it gives you an insight.

After that it's up to each company to ensure that you have the proper CRM bits that you need. The initial is often combined with specific company procedures as each company has it's own take on the subject.

If you want to read up for the pure fun of it, have a look in the UK CAA CAP 737. It's probably the best material on CRM that I have come across on the net. You'll find it on the UK CAA website somwhere.
