Hi

I was schooling twin engine IFR yesterday. When we flew at 5000feet in uncontrolled airspace the controller said to us to fly on FL instead of Altitude. The TL in Sweden is 5500 so i'ts obvious to fly at altitude instead of FL when flying at 5000feet in controlled airspace.

My teacher said to me that there was a rule saying that "if you are flying 3000feet bla bla over MSL in uncontrolled airspace you have to fly on FL".

I have looked everywhere in AIP but couldnt really find information about it. Do you know something about this rule? Where can I find it?
