Private Flying in the Bahamas...

...Mrs Duchess has decreed that this years vacation will be in the Bahamas.

I can find plenty of web references to hiring aircraft to fly to the Bahamas, but none so far for hiring when in the islands.

Anybody any recommedations as to businesses that hire something like a PA28/172 for an hour or so at a time. I don't mind flying accompanied by an instructor if necessary. I have both FAA and JAA tickets.

Used to be able to hire a warrior from Stella Maris, Long Island. I think the AC belonged to the resort. Owner is Peter Dietz. He's a good guy and runs an excellent resort. Don't have phone numbers handy. Just google Stella Maris.
The resort also has an Aztec and can collect you from your airport of arrival.
Was there a few weeks ago for fuel. The suppiers name was Hawkline aviation but may be all the same company.
This is the real Bahamas. None of your Atlantis nonsense.
