With apologies but have no success on "Where are they now?"

Some time ago I put out a search for David Vernon, with no success. David is ex-RAF and flew Meteors with 257 Squadron at Wattisham in the fifties. He later got into private flying and owned Aircoupes before emigrating in the nineties to the USA. At this point Pilotweb loses touch as well.

Any info appreciated.

I am sorry to have to report that David Vernon died, I believe last Friday, of a heart attack.

He will be sadly missed by the Ercoupe community, and I'm sure many others, for his enthusiasm for flying.

As a weekend ATC 'assistant'/tea maker at RAF Woodvale in the early 60s I remember Dave well for his enthusiasm.

Also recollect him working at Speke with Cambrian as a Viscount F/O after that?

RIP
