Just been watching a bit of 'Carry on flying' at Sheffield, with an impounded aircraft (Non payment of fees) been chased down the runway by a dozen coppers after someone who's been told they cant have it decided that they could...... If i knew who the pilot was i'd certainly buy him a drink after his big balls departure and good bye wing waggle to South Yorkshire Police who were busy on the phone asking Doncaster Radar to track his movements.....:D I dont think for one moment that the machine was fully servicable and legal....:=

Well, sounds like a future ex-pilot to me.

If it's the PA28, it still has a CofA and was airworthy as far as I know.

Shame that... I was trying to negotiate the acquisition of the GNS430 from the debt recovery agency :E

Hehe, I heard what I thought was somebody doing a low pass but didn't see it.

So, either G-FLOP or G-LFSK ? According to G-INFO the CAA still seem to think that they both have 'No Flight' restrictions. Owned by CLOUD 9 AVIATION (LEASING) LTD. Ahem. :)

Have they been hiding in the hanger?

I was party to the fiasco at Sheffield today, there are some real shi-s in aviation, the owner flew his aircraft away minus a reported stolen KX155 radio (you know who has this) watch this space !!!!
Some mickey mouse lien placed upon the wrong aircraft and the wrong company, Police still looking for the aircraft, what chance has our national defence got ?

I also was there today when the aircraft was flown away , I also got an opportunity to hear what the police where talking about!

Apparently the debt collectors messed up the name of the company who owes the money and tried to ground an aircraft which didnt belong to the firm who owed the money.. Hense who ever the so called Pilot was, flew it away.. It wasnt that big a drama!! Most of the cops left after a minute or so, I think there where two/three of them who hung around!

It was a laugh watching all these cops turn up and then waking right back out again..

wonder what his legal status is, he was prob more concerened with getting his aircraft safe before it was stripped. Very hard to sort out after the event and whos gonna pay for the enginnier time to replace avionics.

I don't remember there being anything parked at (ex) Sheffield Disused last week. Where did it come from??

Sheffield City / Peel need to be thinking very hard what happened today, they have a duty of care and as such organised the two aircraft to be hangared, not advising the company, the aircraft were now out of sight out of mind, allowing some thieving bastar-s to remove a serviceable radio ( don't worry we know who you are and will be round soon to collect!!!) a wasted day for an engineer and pilot and travel, because of some muppetts that should be running a punch and judy show at Blackpool and not an an airport,
As Arni said Asta la Vista !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

Irrespective of the rights and wrongs of this case (which I know nothing about) what were the police doing getting involved in what sounds like a civil debt recovery? Parfum de peche if you ask me.

Hmmm.. methinks a bit of poetic licence is at play here. So come on guys, was it,

an impounded aircraft (Non payment of fees) been chased down the runway by a dozen coppers

or

all these cops turn up and then waking right back out again..

And whoever is thinking of marketing "Parfum de peche" in time for Christmas had better sort their peaches from their fish or there are going to be some very disappointed ladies opening presents!

Can anyone confirm the registration and where it landed? Also when you say Sheffield do you mean Doncaster Robin Hood or where? Sheffield City Airport is closed other than for the Air Ambulance/Police.

So have Cloud 9 come and flown out one of their aircraft or does it now belong to someone else? I notice on another thread someone is after the logbooks for their repossesed C421.

SpeedbirdXK8
22nd May 2008, 13:52
cowl flap - can you direct me to C421 thread, thanks.

two aircraft are in the process of change of registration.

the events of yesterday seem to be a mystery unless one the eye witness can confirm the reg, type and location of departure.

G-FLOP is a C152 and G-FLSK is a PA28 - slight difference in type one might say!

There was a short piece on Look North last night about the incident, it showed G-FLOP still on the ground at Sheff.

i spoke to Sheffield today and they say there are no aircraft there since it was closed. Any comments?

SpeedbirdXK8

shatstabba (or whatever) - give me your address and I'll send you the bill..from what I can gather you are either Mr Cloud 9 or have something to do with the company or why else would you make such a comment, albeit ill informed.

Speedbird -

Seizure notice on G-LFSK was served by C N Gaunt & Son (Bradford) on behalf of claimant Acceleris Marketing Communications Ltd. I can only presume Acceleris were behind the design of the flashy website which is allegedly being used to still take deposits from the unenlightened for ATPL groundschool that Cloud 9 isn't/wasn't approved to provide even if they were still anything other than a puff of smoke.

Thanks, was G-LFSK the one that 'got away' (so to speak)? Any news of its whereabouts?

I am told that G-FLOP is still at Sheffield, can you clarify this and were the others are?

I believe that was the aircraft concerned, yes. FLOP is out of CofA. Apparently it went to Bagby. LFSJ and FLIP were also sighted arriving there.

G flop stayed put at EGSY and now has the prop removed

SpeedbirdXK8
23rd May 2008, 16:44
Thanks Winchman: I am also told that the insurance has been cancelled and the CAA are being informed so with or without a prop none of the aircraft are going anywhere for the time being. I would guess after this fiasco they will have trouble getting insurance again.

so did the authorities track down the aircraft? Must have been tracked on radar.

I-LBF
10th Jun 2008, 11:44
LFSJ and FLIP were located at Sturgate Airfield, as Eastern Air Executive were owed money by C9 for engineering on the aircraft. I believe that the aircraft props were removed and were only to be put on when bill was paid.

So im not sure how Mr Wilkinson did it (if at all) managed to get both aircraft away, with having very little money.

With the Bailiff notice on LFSK, Mr Wilkinson has got many companies with C9 in the name somewhere, Cloud9 Leasing, Cloud9 Aviation etc. No doubt though he went bankrupt.

Still can't work out what he will do with his newly rescued aircraft, as im sure he can't afford a re-registration, CofA, Maintenance, and paint job. As if he looking for more people to rip off, then i wouldnt want to be in an aircraft with a reg of LFSK, id be worried it wasnt about to be shot down, or liable to disintergrate.

Was wondering how 2 court bailiffs could be turned into a "dozen coppers"?

Were you really there or are you just blowing diarrhea out the oral orifice?

What is your relationship to anyone involved -- or are you just someone hiding behind a fake name trying to to stir some crap?

As a new member, I find comments like yours and some of the others to more resemble the cat fights of jealous women than 'professional pilots' this group is supposed to be about.

Inquiring minds want to know...

To resurrect an old thread, Mr Wilkinson is involved with the startup of a flying school at Durham Tees Valley Airport. A FlyTeesside sign has gone up above the old Cleveland Flying School building with the phone number from the Cloud9 Aviation website.

Mr Wilkinson has recently registered the domain www.flyteesside.co.uk and www.flyteesside.com which shows his involvement in the new flying establishment.

Nothing else appears to have happened except the sign has been erected. The premises are still locked up and no one has been seen there.

So another dodgy outfit starts at Durham Tees Valley!!!

27th Jan 2011, 10:37
True what they say about **** attracting **** and now Durham Tees Valley have Wilkinson to carry on from the failed CFS CFT Disley Aviation. Clearly the airport are so desperate they will do business with anyone. Maybe they are working on the principle that more bad publicity is better than no publicity. He is still a disqualified director so maybe time to call the insolvency service hotline if you has any info on him setting up a new company by proxy. Disqualified Directors Hotline Form (http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/contactus/hotlineform.htm)

Probably another front for some dodgy deals and scams.

My advice- stay well away from flyteesside or whatever he calls himself now. :E

The swift departure of Cloud 9 is going into a book I am currently working on about aviation scandals/scams. The waggling of wings to South Yorkshire Police following departure from EGSY works very well indeed in print.

seems to be G- SELA now! G-LSFK seems to have dissappered from Ginfo totally????

IF it did happen as originally described with the coppers chasing after the aircraft and the aircraft then doing a low pass I personally would loved to have seen it!

jazimbodollywaggle

Not just his own aircraft, but also G-AYAW, which was loaned to the school by it's unsuspecting owners. Wonder which airport he'll start up at next.

@slingsbypilot how do you know this if you only "rent the slingsby a few times" ? , surely you would have to be up there at teeside to know this , or is it just blatently obvious?
