I heard from a buddy at the weekend that Nehawu members @ the CAA are contemplating strike action over salaries. Apparently the CCMA has granted them a certificate for such a strike as of today. What are the implications for local carriers flying regionally, to Europe and the US bearing in mind that some 70% of staff belong to the union?

You won't have to worry about having those spare batteries in your bag.

...and lest not forget the inevitable car stoning and general civil disobedience that goes along with a "strike"...just cast your memories back two years or so. A strike without at least some destruction would be pointless...:ugh::ugh::ugh::hmm::hmm:

Just checked with my buddy after seeing nothing in the papers. Seems
the guys have got cold feet - feeling is they will lose too much money so have backed down.
