Guys/Gals,

Please excuse my deliberate vaugeness...............

How easy is it to obtain an ATC RT transcript and radar track via NATS for an area covered by EGKK and EGLF????

Do you need a 'good' reason?
Apply in wiriting?
Cost?

Any info gratefully received :ok:

If you are just a member of the public I'm not aware that it is actually possible so cost doesn't come into it. Publication of R/T transcripts comes under the WT Act and authority is unlikely to be given unless you have some serious professional requirement.

Radar "tracks" are available on-line for certain areas and there is always the commercially available SBS gadget which displays aircraft transmitting ADS-B information on a type of radar display on a PC.

Virtually impossible for other than legal purposes; if it is for legal purposes it would have to be requested via SRG.

Ah.

I'm in the difficult position of being the nominated 'friend' for a mate of mine who's had an allegation of gross misconduct levied against him by the FTO he works as an FI for.

Already had one meeting where allegations were refuted.

Mate received a letter this morning saying NATS were providing the FTO with RT transcripts and radar tracks for a disputed flight.

Hence my query.

So can an FTO get this stuff, or would it have to come via SRG/CAA.

I hasten to add mate says he's done nothing wrong and the info collected isn't a concern, simply asking as initial letter from FTO was bluff and bluster and wondering if this is a similar tactic :ugh:
