The ukga.com online flight planner is great - but how can I use this if my grass strip is not listed? Or is there an alternative the allows me to enter coordinates instead?

Get a lightweight laptop with GPRS/3G internet access (for weather and notams) and Navbox Pro (http://www.navbox.nl) for flight planning. The best VFR flight planning program there is, with a very easy learning curve.
You will never look back.

You enter the airfield as ZZZZ and then put DEP/ xyz airfield near xyz location
