Does anyone know what happened on the BMIB to Cardiff from AGP today? Mother in law was on board, had to return for emergency landing (so she says) lots of emergency services on secne when landing. Flight subsequently cancelled. She's not too technical all I could get from here was in made an unusual noise on take off, she said undercarrige??

I'm an interested SLF, apologies if its the wrong part of the forum.

Thanks

I believe the nose landing gear retraction jack mounting bracket broke in the nlg bay

Not sure of exact nature of problem but it did burn off fuel before returning to AGP due to initial reports of Landing Gear not retracting.

Delays and Cancelations at Cardiff yesterday and today due to 2 x a/c operating instead of the usual 3. Replacement a/c was AOG also yesterday.

Not sure how long it will be before it is sorted, but i believe an engineering team are allready out there.

As an intrest, how is she returning? I believe it's been canx and been told they need to find their own way home.

Cheers

Thanks for the info, she seemed to think it was a burst tyre, but as I said she can't even work the toaster let alone understand even the basics of an aircraft.

She was re booked on a flight out on Thursday, today's was filled pretty much straight away.

Thanks
