A MAN has been taken to hospital with minor injuries after his microlight plane ran out of fuel and crashed into a field near Retford.
Police and fire crews remain at the scene trying to move the plane, which landed upside down in a field in Burntley's Road, Hayton.
The 60-year-old pilot, from Northumberland, was the plane's only occupant and was conscious while being treated by paramedics at the scene.
He had been flying the plane from Northumberland to Gamston when it came down in the yellow rape field just before 11.30am.
