I know that is shouldn't really be posting in this section, but i think that i would get a much better answer for my question!
Where can i find a good book/technical manual about IFE systems?
Also, where can i find some examples of airline IFE software?

You could try approaching some of the companies that produce them, do a google search, CAA stuff just covers the technobabble which is not what you are after..

Unfortunately the stuff I work on, In flight Entertainment involves looking out of the window, so I cannot help you on manuals or more info :(
