We've just been told of a 27% hike in the cost of parking for syndicate aircraft at Lashenden (Headcorn).

That's an increase from £152 per month to £193 per month for outside parking and all landing fees.

Were we paying too little before, will we be paying too much next year? I'd be interested in how much other syndicates expect to pay.

Just out of interest do the members of your syndicate also have to be fully paid up members of the flying club ?

No, I believe that you only need to be a member of the club if you want to hire club aircraft.

At White Waltham all the members of any syndicated / group owned aircraft have to be fully paid up members (flying membership) of the flying club. Some groups have as many as 16 members.
Flying membership is currently £310 per anum (Family membership £395)
Regular checks are carried out for membership on people in the clubhouse and those booking out to go flying.
Parking for a PA28 out on the grass is £159.80 inc Vat per month
No landing charges for WW based aircraft

To the original Q, the price does not seem out of line for open parking, especially if including landing fees.

Full hangarage tends to run around £400/month, but often you get no weekend access so if you fly weekends, the plane has to be out 3 nights/week but you still pay the full hangarage rate.
