Hi, is anyone training at Aeros in Filton for PPL?
I would like some feedback regarding availability of instructors.
Thanks

I did my training recently at Aeros Filton and I would rate the CFI there (Steve Williams) very highly and would thoroughly recommend him.
Trouble is he only works Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri and they only have a few other part-time instructors at Filton at the moment, so availability is not good.

The aircraft themselves are pretty shoddy, although the mechanical bits of the aircraft seem well maintained - the bits you really need like the engine and control surfaces (hard to tell of course). However the avionics are different in every one of the 10 PA28s they have, and one or more of the instruments often seems to be Inop and as you hardly ever get the same aircraft for subsequent lessons you need to do a bit of re-learning of radio controls every lesson (and instruments if you are using them).

I would recommend them. You have Steve and Lavinia there - both excellent instructors.
Nice local area. Not too busy for slots etc.
Excellent airfield to learn.
