Nope, this isn't the latest round of cost-cutting exercises from the World of TUI, but as part of the celebrations for their 40th anniversary next spring. Reportedly, the aircraft will be painted in Euravia colours and they also plan to paint one of their new aircraft in the same 'retro' colour scheme as has Air Canada and American Airlines.

It's a great pity that there are no airworthy Britannias around, as that would have been much more appropriate!

What about the Britannia on the ground at Kemble. It only flew in a few years ago?

It was donated by Kiki Lamaire who owned Transair in the former Zaire, and was originally the property of Cubana, I believe. My understanding is that it and its Proteus engines are fully timexed - but with the retirement of the Hovercraft, surely there should be sufficient around?

It would be lovely to see the Whispering Giant take to the air again - I saw it a few times at Lanseria and it was indeed a delight to behold!

If BY pay us lots of money, we could always bring our CL44 up to LTN in BY colours as an alternative! :D :D :D

I know disscussions have taken place with the MATS Constellation Group in America about bringing their Constellation across next year but no firm commitment yet.
