Boeing has the FCTM. This is more technique than operational SOP's. I'm interested in Boeing's recommendations for use of Autopilot. I know what they say about it being approved above 400' agl on departure. In their takeoff profiles, both 2 engine & SE, there is no mention of A/P use, just flap and AFDS use. I have asked the question before about operator's SOP's for A/P. Some do it at 1000' 2 engine. What about SE on departure and manual G/A's, 2 or 1 engine? What do you do?

On B767, when it first arrived, we put A/P in at 400' as per lmitations. We then watched what the A/P did and learnt from the a/c. Our SOP's then evolved with time. It was Boeing's idea. Are there such things as Boeing SOP's for NG's, and if so where can I find them? I just find it odd that we need to wait for A/P engagement until a/c is clean when on 1 engine departure or after G/A, even 2 engines.
