Jolly Wizard Thinking on Security Measures from Highland Airports.

Rumour from chummy in the frozen north tells me that new security measures up there mean that for him to get to his plane to give it a clean and bit of TLC and all that (not to mention to fly his aeroplane) which is based at one of their airports he now needs to get a full security checkout, disclosure, life story, permit signed in triplicate from the Queen/Pope/Gordon Broone etc for a security pass (at his cost) and use the tradesmans entrance because the terminal gate has been chained up.
This is after increased security all over the place because some jolly media hack got into Inverness, OK no big deal you think, we’ve all got to put up with extra scrutiny so why not him?

But if you fancy yourself as the next Lewis Hamilton and have an old escort with a noisy exhaust just get the airport to close and take your motor up and down the runway to see if the pistons really do pop out through the bonnet when you redline it!!
And all this for free without any security present or security checks, literally just drive in and thrash the bollox out of your motor up and down the aerodrome and then home for tea.
While chummy who has to pay his landing fees to use the airport has to look at his aeroplane from behind the fence!

(I’m guessing now but if an aerodrome is NOTAM’d as closed does this remove the RZ thus allowing a free for all?)

Off now to see if I can try out my rocket powered roller skates on the runway:E
