First you couldn't get a builder in Ireland, then you couldn't get a Hospital Bed and NOW everyone is looking for an ATCO. Kerry Airport has a live ad on the website www.kerryairport.ie (http://www.kerryairport.ie)

The IAA have the feelers out and the non-state airports are under pressure to keep their staff. Rumours of 'massive money' is spinning everyone heads and despite no adverts in the papers....there seems to be jobs on the go in the State airports and the only source of candidates has to be the non-state airports!!!

Is this the ATCO 'celtic tiger' and will demand out-strip supply???? So.. will the current ATC problems in the IAA get sorted at the expense of the regionals???

Sorry CTID, rumour has it that the IAA have already sourced a few and they are not from the non-states so far !

Time will tell.

Has Conditions improved for the regional airports. I went for an interview 2 years ago and the pay, pension and shifts were not the best!

Story is...Kerry just lost a controller to Weston, hence the vacancy.

Regionals are still low payed, €45 - 50k, no pension, lots of earlies and lates with no backup.

Absolutely nothing from IAA HR. not an email, phone call...:ugh: !
