Hi,

Just a quick one, Im sure its been asked here before, but as i am thinking about transferring to the UK as ATC, Im just trying to get a picture of whether there are any travel allowance/ID/ZED fairs available for employees?

I have not been able to find out on the internet therefore any help would be great. Both about where I can find this info, or what the benefits are.

Cheers

A search of this forum would have brought you a wealth of information including these two threads http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?t=180182&highlight=discounts

However if you want a summary without delving into those threads, there's access to several travel-industry-only travel agents. They tend to concetrate on longer distance package-type holidays, but they're fairly flexible and are usually a decent discount over the catalogue prices - however caveat emptor, they are sometimes beaten by deals open to the public.

On the ID front, UKATTS is a club open to all UK ATCOs (and other ATS staff) that sources tickets from various airlines, usually ID90s. They do some other deals as well, but are mainly focussed around ID tickets. www.ukatts.org.uk
